About the session
Between now and New Year’s, most of us are heads down on holiday sales, campaigns and gift guides. That’s exactly where your focus should be. But a little space now means starting the new year with real momentum, while most people are still easing back in.
Use the busiest stretch of the year to get ready for the next one.
Chloé and Thomas will walk you through how they decide what to keep, cut and start for the new year, why November is for ideas and December is for planning, and how to hold your own end-of-year board meeting, even as a team of one. They’ll also get honest about the trade-offs behind building a business and a life, and why mastery is what makes success last.
It’s the first episode of Earning Attention: Live, a new series of live conversations with the people building real businesses from their content. Each one is built around what you can take away and use.

Meet the hosts
Host
Chloé Watts
Co-founder, Coreli
Chloé Watts taught herself to code at 15, customizing MySpace pages and then building them for others who were up and coming. That turned into a side hustle designing websites for friends and small businesses while she worked as a developer. When fashion bloggers kept coming to her to fix their sites, she saw the business in it.
In 2014 she launched chloédigital, a membership offering tech support and growth strategy to women building businesses online, and went on to support hundreds of them. Coreli is her second act: a home for those building a business on their name, built by someone who has spent over a decade helping them do it.
Host
Thomas Berolzheimer
Co-founder, Coreli
Thomas Berolzheimer is an entrepreneur and co-founder. His story started in college. Julia, now his wife, came home one day having started a fashion blog. She handed him a camera and asked him to take her photos, which he had no idea how to do. Over time he moved into the business side. Since 2011, he and Julia have built her brand together. She leads the creative and he brings the data and strategy.
That experience led to Coreli, which Thomas co-founded as a home for a personal brand outside of social media. Today his focus is helping those building a business on their name use their own data to grow.
